Secondary 2 Streaming Exercise


Dear Parents/Guardians,


your daughter’s/ward’s allocated subject combination will be released through the AsknLearn portal at 3 pm on 6 November (Friday). Please refer to this guide on how to access the streaming module to view the allocated subject combination.  Should your daughter/ward wish to request for a different subject combination, please email Mdm Choo Wai Yun at with the request and the accompanying reasons.  Please note that all requests must be sent via email to Mdm Choo by 11 November (Wednesday); any requests keyed into the remarks box during the streaming exercise will need to be followed up with an email to Mdm Choo for the request to be considered.  Requests sent in after the deadline will not be entertained.  The school will assess all requests based on merit and will contact parents/guardians directly regarding the outcome by 20 November(Friday). 




National Arts Education Award


We are pleased to announce that St. Margaret's Secondary has attained the Blaze level of The National Arts Education Award (NAEA). The award affirms our school's efforts in arts education in building strong processes for the arts and championing the arts to other schools and the community.




"I Love My Singapore" Creative Writing Competition


We congratulate our students who have participated in the “I Love My Singapore” Creative Writing Competition organized by Singapore Chinese Teachers’ Union and supported by the SG50 Committee. Their essays have been selected by the selection committee and included in the Essay Compilation Book below.

Youth Entrepreneurship (YES) Challenge 2015



The YES Challenge organised by the Singapore Polytechnic Business School aims to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and provides a platform for secondary school students to conceive of and implement their business ideas. As one of the finalists in the competition, our students were given the opportunity to carry out their business idea. The theme of the competition Can You Sell It? saw our girls create tie-dyed canvas bags with a seed fund of $800 which they sold in school and online. Posting the highest sales in the competition, our students emerged as Champions and were awarded $1000 in cash and the YES Challenge Shield. The students have kindly donated their winnings totalling $1250 to the school. 



The Launch of SG50 HOME e-book


In conjunction with Singapore’s Golden Jubilee Celebrations, MOE has launched the SG50 HOME e-book, accessible at It is the collective effort of students from all primary and secondary schools, junior colleges/centralised institute, special education schools as well as Singapore International School (Hong Kong).
